This policy covers moenly.com, workout.moenly.com, remote.moenly.com, sleepwell.moenly.com, and the Moenly apps (Only Workout, Remote for Fire TV + Watch, and Sleepwell). It's short because there isn't much to say — these apps are built to keep as little data as possible.
Only Workout does not require an account, does not have a server, and does not use any analytics or tracking inside the app. Everything you enter — plans, exercises, workout history — is stored only on your device.
Nothing is transmitted anywhere. There is nothing for us to see, store, or lose.
Remote for Fire TV + Watch does not require an account and has no server of ours. It talks directly to the Fire TV devices on your own Wi-Fi network. The devices you have paired, the pairing secret that authorises the app to control them, and your purchase status are stored only on your device.
To find your Fire TV, the app asks the system to look for it on the local network and does not scan for or record anything else. Nothing about your devices or your usage is sent to us.
There is one exception, and it is the only request the app makes to the internet: when you open the apps list, the artwork for each app on your Fire TV is downloaded once from the address your Fire TV itself provides (an Amazon image server) and then kept on your device. The request sends no identifier, no account and no device information — it fetches a picture. You can delete the stored artwork at any time in the app's settings.
Sleepwell does not require a Sleepwell account and has no server of ours. Every sound and image is contained in the app itself, so playback works with no network connection at all. Your saved mixes, favourites, settings and sleep timer are stored only on your device, and they stay there — there is nothing for us to see, store, or lose.
Sleepwell contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no advertising ID. It does not record, analyse or diagnose your sleep, and it does not use the microphone.
Sleepwell requires an active subscription, which is handled by the App Store on iPhone and by Google Play on Android — see Payments and subscriptions below. The app stores a small local note of whether your access is currently active, so it can start quickly and keep working while you are offline; that note contains no payment details and never leaves your device.
One point of honesty about permissions: on Android, because Sleepwell includes Google's Play Billing library, the installed app carries Android's internet permission, and the library brings along Google's own diagnostics component. Sleepwell itself makes no network requests — it talks to the Google Play app already on your phone to check your subscription. Whatever Google collects through Play and its billing library is covered by Google's privacy policy, not this one.
On iPhone, Sleepwell uses Apple's StoreKit to check your subscription and includes no third-party libraries; the app makes no network requests of its own. Whatever Apple collects through the App Store is covered by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.
sleepwell.moenly.com collects no data, uses no analytics or tracking, and sets no cookies.
On Apple Watch, Only Workout uses HealthKit to read your live heart rate during a workout so it can show it on screen, and to keep a workout session active so rest-timer haptics stay reliable while your wrist is down. This data is processed entirely on-device — it is never transmitted to us, stored on a server, or shared with any third party.
On Android, Only Workout requests the "exact alarm" permission solely to fire reliable rest-timer notifications. It is not used to access any other data.
On Android, Sleepwell asks only for permission to show a notification, which is what lets playback continue while your screen is off and lets you pause from the lock screen. On iPhone, Sleepwell asks for no permissions. On neither platform does it use exact alarms, location, contacts, the microphone or the camera.
This website may use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect any personally identifiable information. It only reports aggregate numbers, like how many people visited a page.
The Stadtaffe Sleepwell QR links under moenly.com/stadtaffe/sleepwell count link opens and store redirects. We keep only daily totals for each printed variant (A, B or C) and broad device category (Android, iOS or other). The device category is determined from request headers; we do not store the headers, IP addresses, visitor identifiers or individual visit records, and these links set no cookies. Repeated link opens can count more than once.
When a QR link sends you to Google Play or the App Store, the store link includes a campaign name identifying the hostel and printed variant. The store may use that name for its own aggregate campaign reports, subject to Google's or Apple's privacy policy. This does not add tracking inside Sleepwell.
Purchases inside our apps — the one-time Pro purchase in Only Workout and Remote for Fire TV + Watch, and the subscription in Sleepwell — are handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details, and we receive no card or bank information at any point.
What our apps ask the store is a single question: whether your purchase or subscription is currently valid. The answer is kept on your device so the app knows what you have access to. Managing, changing or cancelling a subscription happens in your App Store or Google Play account, and you can do it at any time.
